Entertainers plan Valedictory Thank You Concert/dinner ball for Gov. Uduaghan

As May 29 terminal date for the eight years administration of Dr. Emmauel Uduaghan, Governor of Delta State draws near, entertainers have concluded plans to host a valedictory "Thank You Concert/dinner ball " in appreciation of his immense contribution to the entertainment industry.

The event is packaged to be the highest star studded event in the history of the state, more than 40 top celebrities will be landing in the Asaba international airport on a private jet on Wednesday morning.


Some of the artistes confirmed are: Alibaba, I Go Dye,Ay, Bovi,Gordons,I go Save, Sammie Okposo,kcee, Harry Songz, Daddy Showkey,Iyayan, Solid Star,Orezi, Oristefemi, 2things ,Frank De Don , Mc Abbey,Buchi,Akpororo, Maleke, Akasbaba, Baba kome, Otb, Patricia king (midnight crew),Omawumi, J matins ,Orits wiliki, Raskimono pere carter,Emma grey,tony grey , Omoni Oboli,Opa williams, Kingsley ogoro,ini Edo, Ejiro Okorame, ufouma ejenebor,zeb ejiro.etc the red carpet which is billed for 7pm will be hosted by Mr. NIGERIA,UZZI AGU (studio 53 extra host) and the sexy diva Linda osifo.

It will be the biggest and most glamorous event of all time. According to the organisers, the eight years administration of Dr.Uduaghan as the Executive Governor of Delta State witnessed an unprecedented human capital development in the nation's entertainment industry.

In a statement by the Coordinator of the event, Mr. Ogude Akpobome (known on stage as Ogus Baba), made available to journalists, the event which is billed for March 4 at prestigious Grand Hotel, Asaba, red carpet start bt 7pm while the show is billed for 8pm

"It was in Dr. Uduaghan's administration that Asaba, the Delta State capital became renowned as the home of Nollywood. Today, Delta State has produced more than half of the number of entertainers in the country . Comedy is now one of the fastest employer of youths who have talents as humour merchants", Ogus Baba, a stand-up Comedian said.

"This is why we said we should celebrate Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan as the best we have had in terms of developing human capital in the area of creative and performing talents. As far as we are concerned Dr. Uduaghan is the Best Entertainment Friendly Personality in the last decade", he said.

"It was Governor Uduaghan who set the pace of appointing a career entertainer, who had no bearing in partisan politics into a political office as high as a Commissioner", Mr. Akpobome recalled, making allusions to . Richard Mofe-Damijo, a two-term Commissioner in Uduaghan's administration in-charge of Tourism, Arts and Culture.

Moreover, he noted that the Uduaghan administration has contributed immensely to the development of the entertainment industry through its Talent Quest and other nurturing programmes, where so many talents were discovered and brought to limelight.
