It is exactly a year ago Peter Okoye and his lovely wife, Lola Omotayo, exchanged marital vows in an elaborate traditional wedding that had Togolese and Tottenham Hotspur striker, Emmanuel Adebayor in attendance.
It was indeed a celebration of love as Peter of P-Square and his long-time girlfriend/baby mama, Lola, decided to formalise their relationship. The event was held on Sunday, November 17, 2013 at the Ark Event Centre, Lekki, Lagos.
Celebration their first year of marriage, Lola praised her husband, who he described as a down-to-earth man. She also confessed that she will always remain loyal and be a loving wife to him.
“Exactly a year today I married my best friend and lover. I still get butterflies in my stomach when I look at you,” she said.
“Our journey together has been an interesting one, despite some trying times we still remain dedicated to one another and still believe in our story. Your humility baffles me and this is why I love and respect you so much.
“If only the world knew how amazingly humble and kind you are. Thank you for always making me and your children a priority. I am dedicated to making you the happiest man on earth with wisdom from God. #Happy Anniversay my husband, my darling, my boo, my hot chocolate...I remain loyal to you always!” Lola said.

Timaya Runs To Shiloh For Prayers

First it was Nollywood's Controversial actress, Tonto Dikeh,that ran off to Mountain of Fire and Miracles church for prayers few days ago.
Now, it is hip hop singer, Timaya, the awry 'bumbum' shaker. According to the Sanko crooner, he has personally experienced spiritual breakthroughs at Shiloh, the yearly christian gathering organised by Bishop David Oyedepo led Winners Chapel.
He revealed this much via his Instagram account. "It's another amazing time to be blessed. I have had so many breakthroughs at Shiloh," said the self-styled Egberi Papa 1 of Bayelsa. In the post, 'Plantain Boy' as he is fondly called also copied colleagues including Patoranking, Skales and Runtown who are believed to be members of the Church. Glasgow, 9 November 2014: One of the biggest global annual music events celebrating the hottest artists from around the world, the 2014 MTV EMA was punctuated with outrageous, unexpected moments, once-in-a-lifetime collaborations and rousing performances. This year’s show transformed Glasgow’s SSE Hydro into an unforgettable time-travelling extravaganza, taking viewers on a wild journey inspired by memories of the most outlandish moments in the MTV EMA’s 20-year history.

The 2014 MTV EMA in association with Smirnoff Ice Double Black with Guarana broadcast live from the SSE Hydro in Glasgow on MTV and MTV Base on Sunday 9 November.

The show kicked-off by transporting viewers back to 1994, where a young Nicki Minaj watched the first-ever MTV EMA from her bedroom before travelling into the future, making a grand entrance into the 2014 MTV EMA by soaring across the stage. “Her Minajesty” truly commandeered the evening, taking home the award for Best Hip Hop, and even giving the audience a show-stopping blend of her biggest hits including ‘Super Bass’, ‘Anaconda’ and a global debut performance of her new track ‘Bed of Lies’, with a surprise appearance by Skylar Gray.

One of the greatest rock bands of all time, U2 took to the MTV EMA stage for a fourth time with a poignant, understated rendition of ‘Every Breaking Wave’, accompanied by a strings section. Alicia Keys serenaded the crowd from the nearby viewing party at the O2 Academy Glasgow, with an inspired performance of her Best Song with a Message-nominated track ‘We Are Here’ being beamed into the SSE Hydro and to MTV EMA viewers the world over. Best Song and Best Female winner Ariana Grande flew over the audience in a perspex bubble chair, before treating fans to a Barbarella-esque medley of her smash hits ‘Problem’ and ‘Break Free’, and  Ed Sheeran brought his chart-topping track ‘Thinking Out Loud’ to life, lighting up the stage with an elaborate music box.

Rock legend Ozzy Osbourne made his triumphant return to MTV to accept this year’s Global Icon Award. In a surprise closing performance, Biffy Clyro’s Simon Neil joined guitar legend Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators to pay tribute to Ozzy with an epic rendition of his classic hit ‘Crazy Train’.

Electro-pop songstress Kiesza teleported from Glasgow’s Royal Exchange Square into the arena via a classic red telephone booth to perform her track ‘Hideaway’. British songstress Charli XCX set the arena ablaze with a glam-rock / punk rendition of her hits ‘Boom Clap’ and ‘Break The Rules’, and UK rock duo Royal Blood rocked the house, playing ‘Figure It Out’ in front of a tower of screaming fans in the middle of the auditorium. Best World Stage winner Enrique Iglesias called on the crowd to be part of his medley of ‘Freak’ and ‘Bailando’, with thousands of fans donning xylobands to light up the floor of the SSE Hydro.

Redfoo took to the stage dressed in a kilt to present the award for Best Pop to One Direction, having earlier revealed he was going commando on the MTV EMA red carpet, which was chosen by fans via social media with the hashtag #UnderFoosKiltEMA. In another nod to the heritage of the 2014 host city, David Hasselhoff took to the stage in blue face paint dressed as “BraveHoff”.

Before closing out the evening, Queen Nicki announced that the 2015 MTV EMA will take place in Milan, Italy at the Mediolanum Forum on Sunday 25 October 2015. Italy and the city of Milan will serve as the official location for Expo 2015, the Universal Exhibition, and the MTV EMA will close out a year of international events taking place in Milan.

MTV (DStv channel 130) and MTV Base (DStv Channel 322) have today revealed that global superstar Enrique Iglesias will be performing at the 2014 MTV EMA, one of the biggest global music events of the year that celebrates the hottest artists from around the world. Iglesias revealed the news to his fans this morning via his social media accounts. In addition, MTV has unveiled a new, socially-focused award category for the 2014 MTV EMA, Best Song with a Message, which recognises songs that have an empowering impact on young people, tackling important issues they care about and inspiring them to have a social conscience.

The 2014 MTV EMAin association with Smirnoff Ice Double Black with Guarana will broadcast live from the SSE Hydro in Glasgow on MTV and MTV Base on Sunday 9 November at 22:00 CAT.

The Young Money family is not seeing eye to eye. Recently, Tyga took to Twitter to voice his frustration with the stable and mentioned that his album release was being delayed on purpose. Now the rapper has shocked the world once again.

This time, in an interview with vibe magazine, he revealed that he isn’t cool with Nicki Minaj and added that he doesn’t like Drake at all. Tyga has kicked the tea kettle all the way over when it comes to his current situation with Young Money.

In the same interview, the “Rack City” rapper also addressed rumours about his alleged relationship with Kylie Jenner. He said he’s known the reality star and her family for four years: “I hang out with her, her sister [Kendall], I hang out with Scott sometimes, I hang out with Khloe sometimes. Not everyone one is impressed with Nicki Minaj’s sexy and revealing “Anaconda” single cover. Last week the rapper posted the pic on social media and it became an instant hit! But some people are worried that she’s sending the wrong message to her young fans.

Chuck Creekmur, owner of AllHipHop.com – who’s supported Nicki when she was still underground - has written an open letter to her. He wrote: “I’m trying to raise a young girl that will eventually grow into something greater than the both of us. I know that this requires great parenting, great education, great luck and an assortment of great influences.”

He went on to ask if this is the path she wants kids to follow. “Make no mistake about it, you are a leader now,” he added.

Pink Gets Real In You+Me’s Emotional New Video

by John Walker  This past Tuesday saw the release of rose ave., the debut from Pink’s folk-pop project with Dallas Green from City & Colour, You+Me. On Thursday (October 16), they returned with a new video for one of the album tracks, “Open Door.”

The clip was filmed live during a performance in Santa Monica, California. (Not that long ago, I’d guess, considering Pink’s wearing the same dress and hairstyle from her recent appearance on “Ellen.” #iseeyou) It’s simple, understated and arresting — the perfect complement to the song.
“Dear mother/ I know I have been away for far too long,” they softly harmonize as one. “I hope you understand it when you hear this song/ That you taught me how to be right in a world gone wrong.” Later, they follow that up with a nearly identical set of lyrics directed at their fathers.
Longtime fans of Alecia Moore might interpret the song as a bookend of sorts to the singer’s “Family Portrait.”
In that 2001 Missundaztood single, she narrates her parents’ crumbling marriage and the impact it had on her family as a kid. And now, 13 years later, she’s addressing those same relationships through the eyes of an adult.

16 Dead After Grate Collapses At K-Pop Concert In South Korea

by Christina Garibaldi Tragedy has hit the K-Pop world once again. On Friday (October 16), more than a dozen concertgoers fell to their deaths while attending a K-Pop show in Seongnam, South Korea, according to the Associated Press.
The 16 victims were watching the girl group 4Minute at the 1st Pangyo Techno Valley Festival when a ventilation grate that was about 10 to 12 feet wide gave out, causing the concertgoers to fall 60 feet.

During a televised briefing, Seongnam City spokesman Kim Nam-jun announced that 11 others were seriously injured in the fall. According to the BBC, 20 to 30 people climbed on top of the ventilation window, but the weight was too much for it to hold, causing the victims to fall in a deep shaft.

News of the accident comes just one month after two members of K-pop group Ladies Code, Rise, 23, and EunB, 22, tragically died in a car accident. The girl group were traveling back from the city of Daegu to Seoul when the car’s back wheel came off and caused the vehicle to spin several times and hit a guardrail.
Around 700 people were in attendance at Friday’s show and, according to the AP, a video recorded by a concertgoer and broadcast on the YTN network, shows 4Minute continuing to dance, apparently unaware that an accident had occurred.
Fire officials believe that many of the victims were commuters who stopped to watch the concert after leaving work and that most of the dead were men in their 30s and 40s, while five were women in their 20s and 30s.

Separately Jay Z, DMX and Ja Rule were rap juggernauts, but what few rap fans know is that the trio were once a part of a short-lived group called Murder Inc.
Yes, Murder Inc. was also the name of Irv Gotti and Ja Rule’s record label, but if they had their way, they would’ve also used the moniker for the all-star group.
The three first collaborated on Mic Geronimo’s “Time to Build” in 1995 and collaborated on two underground rap classics “Mudergram” and “It’s Murda” years later. They even posed together for the cover of XXL magazine back in 1999 before they split.
“We tried to deliver that album. It was a situation where egos all just played a part in its demise,” Ja Rule told MTV News on Thursday night (October 16) after he performed at the Def Jam 30th anniversary concert at Brooklyn, New York’s Barclays Center.
“We couldn’t get X and Jay in the same room, from long ago, their storied battle on the pool table, guns out [and] all of that,” Rule said, recalling the rap battle Jay and X had before the both became famous. “That carried over into our careers and we were all trying to do our thing separately and it carried over. It was hard to get all of us into a room to do what we needed to do.”

The group was short-lived and didn’t produce many records, but Ja says there are songs in the vault that the public hasn’t heard yet.
“We did a few records together and those records will always be classics to a lot of people in the history of hip-hop. I wish that album would’ve came to fruition, it would’ve been real dope,” he said. “I think there might be one– one or two joints that’s still out there that you haven’t heard.”
So where are they Ja? We need to know.
“Gotti got ‘em,” he answered.

OK. Maybe that second part isn’t true. But it is true that the online war of words between the two is now a thing of the past.
On Wednesday, following Snoop’s apology to Iggy for taking virtual shots at her all week, the “Fancy” rapper said she accepted the olive branch and was ready to move on.
Earlier in the day on Wednesday, T.I., the CEO of Hustle Gang, where Iggy is signed, gave the West Coast legend a call and played peacemaker.

“Boys and girls, I just got off the phone with my homeboy Tip, the King of Atlanta, and it’s officially over,” he said in an Instagram video. “No more bad talk. I apologize. Yeah, I apologize. I’m sorry; I won’t do it again.”

One of the more peculiar feuds in recent memory, Snoop vs. Iggy started when Tha Doggfather posted a meme that made fun of the Australian MC’s looks.

She didn’t appreciate the joke, and called out Snoop for acting one way to her face but then clowning her online. Her response only put a battery in the 42-year-old’s back, as he posted more memes and videos aimed in her direction in the coming days.
On Tuesday, Iggy’s boyfriend, NBA player Nick Young, threw his tweet in the ring, calling Snoop a “sucka” and alleging he’s going through a “midlife crisis.”

Two days after ending his much-publicized social media beef with Iggy Azalea, Billboard reports that the Doggfather announced his upcoming album will be released on Pharrell Williams’ label, I Am Other, in a joint venture with Columbia Records.
That news alone is pretty huge, but it doesn’t stop there. The record label took to Instagram on Monday (October 13) to reveal that Uncle Snoop’s thirteenth LP will be produced entirely by Skateboard P.

While the project doesn’t have a title or release date, a few of the features have been made known: Charlie Wilson, who collaborated with Snoop and Pharrell in the past on “Beautiful,” and the legendary Stevie Wonder.
Snoop and Pharrell have been a prolific musical combination in the past with hits like “That Girl” and “Drop It Like It’s Hot,” but the artist formerly known as Snoop Lion told MTV News last month that it’s a completely fresh take on anything they’ve ever done.
“It’s a great record me and Pharrell did from top to bottom. It feels good and I’m happy to be back in the studio working with one of my favorite producers and homeboys,” Snoop told MTV News on the BET Hip Hop Awards red carpet. “It’s different — it’s completely different than anything we’ve ever done. It feels good, sounds good, looks good.”

“I know I was on vacation,” the “But Beautiful” singer tweeted on Wednesday (October 15), “but when are we going to talk about the boy who did applause choreography in the background of a news report.” She followed that up with a weeping Emoji.

I would’ve thrown in a surprised cat, those dancing twins, the painted nails and a “Hey, girl,” but that’s just me.
The dancing lad in question, 15-year-old Brendan Jordan from Las Vegas, was obviously gasping for Little Monster life when he saw Gaga’s tweet.

Miley Cyrus Is Over Twerking, Trying To Make The Nae Nae Happen

It’s pretty much impossible to think of twerking anymore without thinking of Miley Cyrus. Her 2013 VMA performance seared the dance into our brain, and sparked so much attention, that apparently, Miley is soooo over twerking. But don’t worry, she’s already set her sights on a new dance craze.
While the pop star was in Australia today (October 16) performing on the morning show “Sunrise,” she publicly disowned twerking as old news and taught the broadcasters her new favorite pasttime: the Nae Nae. The move is referenced by Atlanta’s We Are Toonz in their song and video “Drop That NaeNae” that came out quite a few months ago—you can watch it below for a refresher:

According to Cyrus, she saw her dancers doing the move and immediately demanded they teach her.
“My dancers—the LA Bakers—they taught it to me, they just started doing it and I was like ‘what is that?’” Miley said. “So then I started doing it which is kind of what happened with the twerking too. I keep trying to start it at all my shows and no one is really doing it back at me.”

Gist: TB Joshua To Appear in Court Monday 13-10 over SCOAN Building Collapse

Following the collapse of the church building, the Lagos State government set up a judicial panel to look into the cause of the collapse.

The panel is scheduled to start sitting on Monday 13 October at the Lagos State High court at Ikeja, Lagos.

PMNEWS gathered that all the parties involved have been summoned to appear before the panel when it begins sitting.

It will be recalled the building collapse caused a controversy following claims and counter-claims as to the cause.

The state government has partly hinged the collapse on building agents who did not get approval to erect the structure, adding that, it was due to structural deficit as the building was originally a two-storey building.

TB Joshua had made several claims that the building was demolished with explosives. He also blamed an aircraft that hovered over the building four times as a possible cause for the collapse.

Customs officials say about 150 people travel daily from or through Liberia, Sierra Leone or Guinea to the United States, and nearly 95 percent of them land first at one of the five airports.
